Honeymoon Impotence

Honeymoon impotence is a condition, commonly encountered in underdeveloped or developing countries. Previously it has been believed that the cause of the disease is purely phsyocogenic in origin. However, recent studies showed that penile vascular pathologies can lead to honeymoon impotence. Therefore, in patients who do not respond to therapy, detailed assessments such as penile Doppler ultrasonography should be considered. Oral PDE-5 inhibitors and intracavernosal vasoactive agent treatment usually work in most of the cases.Keywords: Anxiety, impotenceTurkiye Klinikleri J Surg Med Sci 2007, 3(20):106-107
