Newborns Late Haemorrhagic Disease In The Neurosurgical Practice

This deficiency is not sufficiently severe to cause a vitamin K deficiency coagulopaty and haemorrhagic disease of the newborn. Severe vitamin K deficiency can develop quickly in breast-fed newborns and can result three form or apperance: Early, classic and late. Haemorrhage in the first day named early, haemorrhage during the first week of life is named classic and during the two months of life late. Three forms of the disease can be severe, causing brain demage and death.
