Neurosurgical Approaches In Severe Head Injury

aNöroşirürji AD, Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, ANKARA 300 over 100.000 people are brought to hospitals for head trauma per year. From these patients, the ones having GCS of 8 or less are named as severe brain trauma. The patients in this group has a very high risk of mortality and morbidity. A systemic and fast life support should be done to these patients beginning from the time of trauma and should be continued in each level of transportation to the intensive care unit of hospital.
