Chloracne (one Of The Most Common Clinical Pictures On The Skin Due To Chlorinated Compounds)
Dr. Adnan GÖRGÜLÜ,a Dr. Baksel AY TEMELLİa
aDermatoloji AD, Trakya Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, EDİRNE Chloracne is an acneiform eruption due to exposure to halogenated aromatic compounds having a specific moleküler shape. Generally these chemicals are known as dioxins, dibenzofuranes and polychlorinated bifenyls (PCBs). Since chloracne is an indicator of systemic toxicity, it’s not just a cutaneous disorder. Here, it should be noted that halogenated chemical compounds are important causative agents in the occupational and enviromental medicine. Keywords: Chloracne, halogenated aromatic compounds, occupational acneTurkiye Klinikleri J Surg Med Sci 2006, 2(46):126-128
