Toxic Effects Of Antineoplastic Drugs

The important toxic effects occur with therapeutic doses of antineoplastic drugs. These toxic effects: Bone marrow suppression, lenphotoxicity, immunosuppression, inhibition of normal cells, em-briotoxicity and teratogenic effect, carcinogenic and mutagenic effect, pulmonary toxicity, cardiovascular toxicity, nephrotoxicity, hepato-toxicity, gastrointestinal toxicity, local tissue irritation, alopecia and skin abnormalities and alergic reactions.Keywords: Antineoplastic drug, toxicityTurkiye Klinikleri J Surg Med Sci 2006, 2(46):121-125
