Cyanide Poisoning

Despite cyanide poisoning is now uncommon, cyanide compounds, especially hydrocyanic acid inhalation, are still very important in toxicology. Cyanide is one of the most rapidly acting poisons known. It can be lethal in minutes and its lethal dose is very small among. Rapid treatment is essential. Treatment of cyanide poisoning tends to be effective if started early. Supportive care and specific antidote therapy are treatment modalities.
