Complications Of Rhinosinusitis

aKBB AD, Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, ANKARA Acute rhinosinusitis is a fairly common condition encountered in clinical practice. Despite the frequency of the disease, diagnosis and therapy often remains empiric. Most cases are secondary to sinus ostia obstruction associated with the common cold or allergies. It is usually mild and most cases resolve with antibiotics. The complications can occur the spread of the sinus infection to involve orbital and intracranial structures Despite the widespread use of broad-spectrum antibiotics for the treatment of rhinosinusitis, a small but significant number of patient still develop complications.
