Hematological Emergencies Related With Deceleration In Coagulation
Dr. Zafer BAŞLARa
aİç Hastalıkları AD, Hematoloji BD, İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi, İSTANBUL Bleeding is a frequent cause of admission to emergency wards. But it may arise as a consequence of hemorrhagic diathesis resulting from either a hematologic or nonhematologic disorder or the problem may be affected by this tendency; and, besides general medical measures, special diagnostic studies and therapeutic components are necessary for a successful outcome. Majority of the patients with bleeding do not have an underlying diathesis but not uncovering such a situation would have unwanted consequences; some patients might be lost because the proper diagnosis is missed and appropriate treatment is not administered. Therefore, patients with any kind of hemorrhage should be evaluated in a systematic manner to this end. Keywords: Bleeding tendency, hemorrhagic diathesis, hypocoagulability, hemostasis, bleeding emergenciesTurkiye Klinikleri J Surg Med Sci 2006, 2(20):66-75
