aİç Hastalıkları AD, Hematoloji BD, Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, AYDIN The abdominal organ emergencies related with hematological diseases may results from bleeding or embolism and obstruction-perforation of gastrointestinal or urogenital viscera. Gastrointestinal bleeding is the most frequent complication of hematological disease. Usually, the causes of bleeding in gastrointestinal system related with hematopoietic system are thrombocytopenia, coagulation factor deficiencies, hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia or vasculitis. Acute thromboembolic occlusion of mesenteric artery occurs during atrial fibrillation and other cardiovascular diseases. The obstruction of gastrointestinal or urogenital viscera may be seen in the course of hematological disease, especially in lymphomas. Hemophilias rarely may cause obstruction in intraabdominal organs due to hematomas. The perforation in gastrointestinal tract due to hematological disease is uncommon. Keywords: Hematopoietic system,intra-abdominal organ emergencies, bleeding, obstruction, perforationTurkiye Klinikleri J Surg Med Sci 2006, 2(20):25-29
